What’s something most people don’t understand?
Art is a form of communication. In its most basic function, art is an expression, and expressions are communications by nature. Like all words, context matters. Some skill in exegisis and charity is required to truly comprehend what is being communicated.
Anyway, buy some CDs of a fat guy screaming over a possessed Nintendo from a fish you found online.

How often do you say “no” to things that would interfere with your goals?
Wow. That’s actually a good question. Then again, how many goals can a fish actually have? Well, it has been my hoal to get this website in ship shape and I have said “no” to my usual absent minded swimming around lately…
Eerie has a habit of trying to “relax” instead of working on projects he says he wants to work on. I say that in quotes because he always ends up doing something other than working on an album or merch designs. He and I have been pretty focused lately though, so we’ve been saying “no” to a lot of things we’d otherwise be doing normally. I think this promt works better as a rhetorical. We’re in a season of productivity now but how well will we keep it up after the rush getting things done is over? Will we stay focussed and say “no” to distractions or dissenting opinions that discourage us?
Gonna need a serving of flakes to think about this one… 🐟

Bro, that’s two whole different questions. I dunno, about the first one, I don’t really do a whole lot besides swim in circles… And somehow run a website…
I wish I had the ability to breathe air. That would be really sweet. Eerie wouldn’t need to carry me around in a bowl.

So yeah, you’re stuck with a pet fish that somehow writes blog posts and manages a DYI label site who’s represented by hand-drawn animation assets that Eerie drew while his roommate showed him the entire Harry Potter film series a few years ago. True story. I was conceived during a Harry Potter marathon.

What do you wish you could do more every day?
Improve myself. Pay better attention to not repeat the same patterns of behavior that cause issues for myself and others. No one’s perfect, but this isn’t just a way to give people benefit of the doubt, it’s a metaphysical reality we all must acce9t and respond to. It doesn’t mean we don’t try, because failure to try and be better would be a poor response to this truth, but we at least need to try to be more kind or generous than we were yesterday. At least within reason.
Eerie hasn’t dumped my fish flakes for the morning yet. Oh wait, there he is. See, I was about to talk smack but he pulled through.

What tattoo do you want and where would you put it?
I’m a fish, so, not sure how that would work with my scales and all, but what if you got a tattoo of me? Wouldn’t be the first time someone got a tattoo that made no sense anyone else. That’s the fun of it, it doesn’t need to, right?
Oh, the fish hook? Yeah, I broke a line. It just kinda stayed there. Didn’t intend for it to become a fashion statement but I’ll take what I can get.

What is one word that describes you?
If nothing else, one could say “persistent.” There’s no logical reason to keep working on all this stuff for the love of the game, but I can’t stop. We create because it’s our nature to do that. So if nothing else, I persist in this understanding and behave thusly.

Showed this website to a few people. They said “nice.” That was pretty sweet.
Yeah, swimming in a fishbowl doesn’t lend itself to a whole lot of compliment reception.

Which animal would you compare yourself to and why?
A big mouth bass because I have a big mouth and I am literally a fish.
I imagine Eerie Clark would compare himself to a bat because he’s scary to some, cute to others, and actually gets a lot of work done but no one notices until he stops.

What strategies do you use to cope with negative feelings?
Letting myself feel things helps to process them. Not to stew in them, but to think through them in a logical way. You need to trace the feelings back to the origins of them. The worst thing you can do is run from them or cover them up with escapism forever. They’re not going away until you face them.
But what do I know? I’m just a fish with hook for a lip ring. 🐟
